Have you ever wondered why are Morning Rituals relevant?
Before you set your mind for or against ‘the Idea’, let’s first review it and then decide whether or not they are needed and how can you attain it! Sounds fair? Cool!
Science says that willpower and self-control are highest on waking up in the morning. This ability is slowly depleted during the day as body and mind fatigue sets in. Therefore, it is important to take advantage of the productivity early in the morning.
Tackle The Most Difficult Task
Mark Twain said, “Eat a live frog first thing in the morning, and nothing worse will happen to you the rest of the day.” I think what Twain really meant was that the toughest task should be done earliest in the day. Not only does a person have the most energy and willpower, but everything after that seems easy. It boosts confidence early in the morning, the dread is gone and the person feels easier for the rest of the day..
Meditate
Life can get crazy. It’s hard to find spare moments in our busy schedule. If we’re always rushing around, it’s difficult to imagine being able to spare any time to relax.
Reserve a few minutes for silent contemplation at the start of every day. These peaceful moments can be used to pray, meditate, or reflect on what we’re grateful for — whatever works for each of us. It can even be a quiet 10 minutes with the morning tea or coffee. This relaxed interlude can put anyone in a great mindset for the rest of the day.
Plan The Day
Making sure to set up for a successful morning by creating a game plan the night before always helps. It helps to have everything that’s needed for the next day laid out and ready to go on waking up. Right from any prep needed for breakfast to laying out the clothes for the next day, each small task done the night before eases the next morning ritual. Writing out the next day’s schedule also goes a long way in taking care of the early morning rushing around.
Move That Body
Exercise has the power to make both the mind and body feel healthy. Exercise releases endorphins, or the feel-good hormones. The release of endorphins eliminates stress, allows a person to start the day energized with a clear mind.
Now this may not be everything that there is to know about Morning Rituals but it’s a great start, isn’t it?
